Summer Financial Aid

All students interested in receiving financial aid for the summer term, must complete a Summer Financial Aid Application (which is available in our office or online).

The deadline for submitting the application is May 27, 2008 for the intended summer term.

A student must have submitted a FAFSA, and all required verification documents.

A student is awarded federal aid (PELL, SEOG, and Loans) based on his/her remaining eligibility. A financial aid counselor will review the student’s financial aid file to determine the appropriate eligibility. It is our practice to award the majority of funds during fall and spring terms, which may leave a limited amount financial aid for the summer. The student must also maintain satisfactory academic progress to receive funds for the summer. Unlike the Records Office, financial aid identifies 12 credit hours as full-time status. Grant awards for less than full-time will be adjusted at a prorated amount. A student must be enrolled in at least six credit hours to be eligible for a federal student loan.
