Applying for Admission

We encourage you to further your education here at LU. There are specific steps that you must follow during the application and admissions process.

Application Deadlines

Prospective students should apply well in advance of the following deadlines. All application materials must be postmarked by these deadlines:

  • Fall Semester - July 15
  • Spring Semester - November 20
  • Summer Semester - May 20

    The University reserves the right to make changes in deadlines as necessary.
  • Freshman Applicants

    (First Time in College or Having Earned Fewer than 30 College Credit Hours)

    As a freshman applicant who is a first-time student or one who has earned fewer than 30 college credit hours, you will need to submit:
    • Undergraduate Application for Admission
    • Official High School Transcript (transcript must show at least 6 semesters of work) or Official GED Scores
      • If you have earned fewer than 30 college credit hours or have completed dual-credit work, you will need to submit official transcripts from those institutions
    • Official ACT or SAT Scores
    • $20 Non-Refundable Application Fee 

    Transfer Applicants

    (Earned 30 or More College Credit Hours)

    As a transfer applicant who has earned 30 or more college credit hours, you will need to submit:

    • Undergraduate Application for Admission
    • Official Transcripts (in a sealed envelope mailed directly to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment) from each College/University attended
    • $20 Non-Refundable Application Fee 

    International Applicants

    As a international applicant who is in the United States for educational purposes, you will need to submit:

    • Undergraduate Application for Admission
    • $20 USD Non-Refundable Application Fee
    • Official transcripts from all institutions previously attended, translated to English.
    • International students who have attended a post-secondary institution prior to coming to LU must have their transcripts evaluated with a course-by-course evaluation by World Education Services (WES).
    • Official ACT or SAT scores if less than 30 college credit hours (or equivalent) have been earned.
    • Applicants not having English as their native language must demonstrate English proficiency by one of the following:
      • TOEFL score of 500 (paper-based), 173 (computer-based) or 61 (internet-based)
      • A GCE certificate from the University of London
    • Completed Affidavit of Financial Support covering the entire period of expected enrollment.
    • Current, official/original bank statement showing at least $21,000 USD in available funds. 

    Visiting/Non-Degree Seeking Applicants

    As a student who is currently attending another accredited college/university or a student who is not wishing to pursue a degree from Lincoln University of Missouri, you will need to submit:

    Visiting/Non-Degree Seeking students are not eligible to receive federal student financial aid.
