Our bluegrass concert this season will feature two well known and award winning bands. Our featured band will be The Grascals, 2006 and 2007 IBMA’s Entertainers of the Year. Key to their success has been the web of friendships that binds The Grascals together to produce an ensemble of unsurpassed cohesion and focused artistic direction. Whether in the studio or on stage, their music and performances both honors the past and forges into the future, bringing a breath of fresh air which their audiences cannot get enough. The warm-up band for the evening will be The Martin Family from Jefferson City. They perform an exciting style of traditional bluegrass music and were named the “2008 Midwest Instrumental Group of the Year” by the Society for the Preservation of Blue Grass Music Award’s (SPBGMA) In 2007 SPGMA named them the “International Bluegrass Band of the Year.”  MAC
