LU Online - Anytime, Anywhere
LU Online is a new method for students to take classes through Lincoln University that is affordable, convenient, and flexible. With an Internet connection, you can connect to LU Online anytime, anywhere.
Course and Programs
As we grow our online program, you will see an increased number of online courses and degree programs available. Currently, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree is available online. Otherwise, a variety of courses are available for you to enroll in. All current and prospective students can view these courses online through WebAdvisor by clicking on "Search for Courses."
You will find LU Online courses engaging, challenging, and thought provoking. Our instructors are the same quality instructors you would find in our campus classrooms. Class size is limited so you can receive a high-level of instruction and get the attention that you need to be successful in the class.
Learning Management System
As part of the technology changes that are being implemented to improve your learning experience, classes during the spring, 2009 semester will be in transition as we migrate from the Blackboard learning management system to the new and easier to use, ANGEL. Many classes on campus use Blackboard for posting course information, discussion boards, assignment submittal, and grades. ANGEL will extend the classroom, stimulate student engagement, provide active learning, and encourage interaction. The communication and collaboration tools in ANGEL are comprehensive and easy to use.
As you attend classes this semester, you may be asked to use Blackboard or ANGEL depending on your instructor. If your instructor is using ANGEL, you can become familiar with this new software by accessing the Student Quick Start Guide and/or logging into ANGEL at http://luangel.lincolnu.edu/default.asp. Your login and password is the same as your e-mail access. Please be patient during this exciting time as we improve our technology so that you have a comprehensive online learning experience.
All classes will be using the ANGEL learning management system beginning in the fall, 2009.
