Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program authorized by the U.S. Department of Education. Its purpose is to assist traditionally under-represented students in obtaining a post-secondary education. Located in the south wing of Dawson Hall, SSS provides such services as personal and group tutoring, counseling, cultural enrichment and career exploration. To be eligible for SSS services, students must be United States citizens and meet at least one of the following criteria: first generation college (neither parent earned a bachelor's degree); family financial status is considered low income; or there is a documented learning or physical disability.
